TINSEL & TURKEY

Sample itinerary for Tinsel and Turkey trip to these following towns:

 

Llandudno

Day 1

Journey north to arrive late afternoon at one of Britain’s finest Victorian seaside resort, bringing together a lively mix of fun and entertainment.  Its long crescent promenade, wide shopping streets, sweeping sands and wealth of attractions make it a perfect destination for a short holiday.

 

Day 2

Full day to the historic Roman town of Chester which is steeped in history and on the border of Wales and England. Enjoy the mediaeval architecture, cobbled streets and beautiful Chester Cathedral.

 

Day 3 

Full day to Liverpool positioned on the River Mersey and home of The Beatles and two of the Premiership’s biggest football teams. Visit the famous Albert Docks for shopping and admire the wonderful architecture and heritage of this famous city that was voted City of Culture in 2008.

 

Day 4

Visit to Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village.

 

Day 5 

Depart hotel after a leisurely breakfast for our return journey to South Wales with comfort stops en-route.

 

 

Eastbourne Tinsel and Turkey

Day 1

Depart South Wales, journey south with comfort stops en-route. Arrive late afternoon at the south coast town of Eastbourne for a four night stay. Sherry reception at 18:00 followed by Christmas Eve celebration.

 

Day 2

Journey along the beautiful south coast via Beachey Head to Brighton, home of the famous Royal Pavilion, home of the Prince Regent in the early 19th century. Also visit The Lanes a retail area near the seafront and characterised by narrow alleyways following the street pattern of the original fishing village. 

Celebrate Christmas Day.

 

Day 3

Day at leisure to explore the sights and shops of Eastbourne.

Celebrate Boxing Day.

 

Day 4

Depart hotel and travel through the East Sussex countryside to Royal Tunbridge Wells which came into being as a spa town in the Georgian era.

Celebrate New Years Eve.

 

Day 5

Depart hotel after a leisurely breakfast for return journey to South Wales with comfort stops en-route.

 

 

Bournemouth Tinsel and Turkey

Day 1

Depart South Wales for Bournemouth with a lunch stop in Winchester. Arrive at hotel.

 

Day 2 

Full day in Portsmouth also known as Pompey, nobody knows exactly why its called Pompey but various theories regarding the matter can be read here: http://www.welcometoportsmouth.co.uk/pompey.html

 

Day 3

Half day excursion to Pool, famous for its pottery and harbour. During World War II Pool was the third largest embarkation point for D-Day landings of Operation Overlord.

 

Day 4 Depart Bournemouth for return journey to South Wales with a lunch stop in Salisbury.
