Winter Wonderland

How has it already been over a month since our final ski group wrapped up their time on the slopes, soaking up the last days of the 2025-2026 ski season in Zell am See! It feels like only yesterday when the first groups arrived back in early December, full of excitement and ready to embrace the alpine adventure ahead. And what a fabulous ski season it was, the alpine weather gods were on our side and provided us with amazing conditions up the mountain throughout winter and well into spring. As we reminisce of this newly passed ski season the 2026/2027 ski season is already in full preparation. Bring it on!

Ski School is a fun School

As exhilarating skiing is, even the most keenest of skiers must admit that there are only so many hours of daylight and energy reserves. Enter the evening entertainments, fun kiddie friendly après ski activities. Ideally we would like to begin with The town trail which is ideal to explore and get to know the town Zell am See. It also encourages helathy competition among groups as they race to answer questions about the area and the mountain experience.

Zell am See and Bruck

Tobogganing is a popular activity that brings laughter and excitement as you mountain rollercoaster your way down the track, twisting and turning down the mountain. This thrilling experience takes the excitement to the next level and is a huge favorite among both kids and adults. Some find it irresistible and return for more... and more... and more! One more go!

No ski season in Zell am See would be complete without the lively visit of our friends in Tyrolean dance group. Without fail their arrival brings a burst of energy and joy to the evenings. They are traditional, cheeky, loud, fun and perform everything from yodelling to playing unusual instruments like the, saw, bells and cooking pans, you name it and they will make music with it! The music comes with dancing, clapping, bench-smacking, and playful mayhem involving hats and mountain horns. This lively tradition creates unforgettable memories and brings everyone together in celebration of the local culture.

Tyrollean Evening

You can't go wrong with an evening of Disco! Whether it is a disco party with fancy dress or simply dressing up for the evening, it is an opportunity to dance the evening away, chat and catch up while others might choose to rest their dancing skills and test their pool skills.

The indoor swimming pool in Zell am See provides the perfect soak after a long day on the slopes. Popular choice for an evening filled with sliding down the 74-metre adventure slide (timed, of course!), jumping of the 3-metre diving board or the lower one if that is what you prefer, I know I do!. Afterwards, relax and soothe your tired muscles in the warm water. Playful action and recovery, perfect combo if you ask me.

Sometimes we are lucky enough to be in town when the Zell am See Eisbären Hockey team has a home game, then we make sure to join the local fans and cheer on the Polarbears. The Alpine hockey league is loud, rowdy, and an unforgettable experience.

After the last day of skiing we see off tired but happy groups ready to catch up on their sleep on their journey back home to Wales.

We have had a great time this season, a big thank you to all our school groups for making it extra special.

Lots of love,

Julie, Wayne and Lísa
