This past season has been very busy, but as we say, it's better to be busy than bored. It was bittersweet to wave off our last group last week, and we're already looking forward to next season with the hope that it will be just as fun as the previous ones.

There are no words to describe the joy we feel when we see all the elated pupils coming down the mountain after their busy days learning new skills and exploring the slopes of the Schmittenhöhe.

We would like to express our gratitude to our valued customers for their unwavering support. It truly means the world to us.

Following are few of the feedbacks sent our way. We just can’t believe how lucky with the all wonderful people we get to work with.

“So just over a week ago Lani had a skiing accident and had to have an operation to mend tendons in her hand after a ski cut them.

We are so thankful for the amazing treatment she received in the hospital in Zell am See.

Also we would like to thank Julie Wood and Sandra -Gasthof for looking after us as a family whilst all this was going on 💕”

From the hospital bed:

“She’s ok thank you and enjoying the attention 🥰

Thank you again for yours & Wayne’s help this week. Wayne was wonderful to us all in the hospital and it would all have been so much more stressful without you both xx”

What a fabulous week skiing in beautiful Zell am See!

Thank you Julie Wood @ Creigiau Tours & Ski for all your coordinating and being with us all week and Team Gasthof for being the best hosts always at the Gasthof. We love staying at your beautiful hotel xx

As for the ski school:

“Thank you for a fantastic week. Your team are a real credit to outdo ski. We have had many different teams of instructors down the years but you lot have been consistently superb across all the groups all week, the best I can remember.

We will be back next year and will definitely be requesting your team as instructors. You have all been patient, knowledgeable, caring and made it extremely fun for our pupils and have made our job as staff easy. Thank you very much and hopefully we’ll see you again next year👍”

“Hi Julie! Just wanted to drop you a message as we wonder down the M4 with about 2 hours before getting back to Bridgend! Just wanted to say thank you to you and the team, not only for a wonderful week but for the whole process of arranging this trip. First one I've done since covid and was so so happy with it. The lead up was great, informative and I was assured that everything would be in place. The ski fit, ski school and night activities were brilliant. The hotel- despite (table) watergate, was great- being walkable is a massive possitive. All 10 of us staff, pictured, really enjoyed the whole week. The fact we were lucky enough not to have any injuries this week was remarkable... but what was really amazing was hearing so many of our kids saying to the instructors that they will see them next year!! So bodes well for when the letters go out upon our return! Again- thank you to you all for your help this week! Been a blast and look forward to arrange next years trip now!”

We are looking forward to meeting all the Easter groups again next season. We know there are some worries going around regarding how late Easter is next year. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, weather wise anything is possible till Easter has been and gone, it really doesn’t matter how early or late Easter falls. We have seen it all, spring conditions in February and full on winter conditions in late April. Also, the beauty of the Ski Alpine Card is that it is also valid on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier which offers winter conditions till early summer.

The two weeks of Easter skiing this season, we saw it all on the slopes. Beautiful snowy and sunny winter conditions and a “heatwave” with glorious warm skiing. The infamous Foehn Storm paid the Austrian Alps a visit and brought with it Sahara dust with a mix of cold and warm air. It was quite the experience seeing the sky go from it’s beautiful blue to a mysterious yellow misty hue. Then as we were expecting the Foehn do its snow killing as it’s called, it started snowing heavily again. As we say in Iceland: “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” That very much applies to the Alps, unpredictable and wonderful.

We’ve had a blast and we're glad you have to. See you in Zell next winter!

Julie, Wayne and Lisa
