We provide school photography and art trips. Our most recent one set London as the chosen destination. They had one goal and one goal only, to catch on picture the visual wonders London has to offer and have fun. Okay, that makes two goals.
We'll give the art teacher the word:
"A group of enthusiastic photography pupils from Ysgol Bae Baglan in Port Talbot embarked on an unforgettable overnight excursion to the bustling metropolis of London. Their primary mission: to immerse themselves in the rich world of art and architecture, seeking inspiration that would elevate their photographic skills to new heights. Their journey was a perfect blend of education, culture, and adventure.

Their first stop was the iconic Tate Modern, a treasure trove of contemporary art that promised to ignite their creativity. As they wandered through its galleries, they were exposed to an eclectic mix of artworks, from avant-garde installations to thought-provoking sculptures. The pupils absorbed the diverse range of artistic expressions, each finding their own muse amidst the vivid strokes of creativity that adorned the museum's walls.
With newfound inspiration coursing through their veins, the group embarked on a picturesque stroll along the Thames embankment. Armed with their cameras, they aimed to capture the essence of London's skyline, with iconic structures like the Elizabeth Tower, home to the resounding Big Ben, and the majestic St. Paul's Cathedral. As the sun bathed the city in a warm, golden hue, the pupils skillfully framed their shots, seizing fleeting moments of London's timeless beauty.
The results were nothing short of extraordinary; their lenses had captured London's architectural wonders in all their glory. The Elizabeth Tower stood tall against the azure sky, while St. Paul's Cathedral, with its grand dome, was a testament to human craftsmanship and ingenuity. These photographs would undoubtedly serve as striking additions to their budding portfolios.
Their adventure continued with a visit to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, a site that resonated with the spirit of the 2012 Summer Olympics. Here, the pupils explored the park's lush greenery, capturing the harmonious blend of nature and urban design. This excursion provided a unique opportunity to showcase their versatility as photographers, capturing the tranquility of the park amidst the urban backdrop.
Their journey culminated in a visit to the enchanting Windsor, a town steeped in history and crowned by the majestic Windsor Castle. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting an ethereal glow over the historic streets, the pupils documented the timeless allure of this royal gem. The photographs from this leg of the journey would undoubtedly evoke nostalgia for the enchanting moments spent within Windsor's embrace.
As they returned to Ysgol Bae Baglan, the photography pupils had not only captured breathtaking images but had also grown as artists. Their London adventure had enriched their understanding of composition, lighting, and storytelling through images. These photographs would now stand as invaluable pieces within their GCSE portfolios, a testament to their passion and dedication to the art of photography. The memories of their overnight visit to London will forever be
etched in their hearts, reminding them of the magical journey that had shaped them into aspiring photographers."
Kind regards and thank you for yet another successful trip,
The teachers team
